Primrose Confectionery Famous Footballers Jim Iley

Primrose Confectionery Ltd Famous Footballers Series FBS1 card #15 Jim Iley, published in 1961. A surprisingly candid player biography is on the card's reverse.
Just as the A&BC card published in the same season Iley is shown in Spurs colours, even though he had been at Forest for two years.

Godfrey Phillips 'Pinnace' Footballers Sidney Gibson

Godfrey Phillips 'Pinnace' Footballers card #1705 S. Gibson, published in 1923.
The Pinnace series is massive collection of 2,462 different cards (including some rugby players) - and that doesn't take account duplicate cards of players appearing for different clubs or minor variations of the same card. If that isn't enough there are three different sizes too. The smallest are common enough to find, but the medium and postcard sized versions take some finding. The 'Pinnace' set was so large it was published over four years from 1920 to 1924.

Sweetule Football Club Nicknames Notts Forest

Sweetule Products Ltd Football Club Nicknames card #9 Notts Forest, published in 1959. The card's reverse features a brief history of the club. The series must have been issued in the early part of 1959 as the club's honours list doesn't include the FA Cup triumph of that year.
