It's debatable as to whether this should be included as a Forest card, as unusually for the Bassett series no club is included alongside the player's name. In the notes on Ward's career it mentions him leaving Forest for NASL side Seattle Sounders, but this was in fact only a loan move. Ward returned to Forest, and after making just two substitute appearances in the early part of the 1982/83 season he rejoined former club Brighton & Hove Albion on loan in the October. A second loan period with Seattle Sounders followed in 1983 before Ward was released by the club. In total Ward's spell with Forest was unspectacular, scoring seven goals in 39 appearances.
