Panini Super Players '96 Vance Warner

Panini Super Players '96 sticker #217 Vance Warner, published for the 1995/96 season. At this time Merlin had secured the Premier League rights, so this collection didn't feature players in club kits. I believe this is the only time Warner featured in a collection while at Forest as he only made five appearances, although I am not actually convinced the photo is of him.

Top Trumps Nottingham Forest Ian Bowyer

Waddington Top Trumps Nottingham Forest card game unnumbered card Ian Bowyer, published during season 1979/80. Only seven clubs were deemed worthy enough of having their own individual set, but then being champions of Europe it was hardly a surprise that Forest was one of them.

El Libro de los Campeones De Europa Club Badge

El Libro de los Campeones De Europa sticker #130 Club Badge, published by Marca/VIA Digital in 1999. The album was issued in Spain to mark Real Madrid's seventh European Cup win the previous year. Part of the album is dedicated to other clubs who had been crowned European champions - hence Forest's inclusion.

The Sun Soccer Sticker Collection 1990/91 David Currie

The Sun Soccer Sticker Collection 1990/91 sticker #200 David Currie, published by Euroflash. Signed in January 1990 Euroflash clearly didn't have an image of Currie in Forest colours (which would have been an achievement anyway as he only made eight appearances for the club) so opted to use him in this awful Barnsley strip.

FKS Soccer Stars Golden Collection Colin Barrett

FKS Soccer Stars Golden Collection 78/79 sticker #227 Colin Barrett. This is generally regarded as FKS's best album, as the stickers are of a higher quality then their other productions. These stickers are still available, but are rarer than FKS's other sets from the late 70s.
Barrett is perhaps not held in quite the same regard as some of him team mates of the time, but he scored the vital second goal to see off Liverpool in the first round of the European Cup in September 1978.

Godfrey Phillips 'Pinnace' Footballers Sidney Harrold

Godfrey Phillips 'Pinnace' Footballers card #724 S. Harrold, published in 1922.
The Pinnace series is massive collection of 2,462 different cards (including some rugby players) - and that doesn't take account duplicate cards of players appearing for different clubs or minor variations of the same card. If that isn't enough there are three different sizes too. The smallest are common enough to find, but the medium and postcard sized versions take some finding. The 'Pinnace' set was so large it took from 1920 to 1924 to publish.
Harrold played for the club between 1920 and 1922, and was part of the Forest side which took the Division Two title in 1921/22. He then left for Accrington Stanley, and appears in this collection as a Stanley player with the same card number.
